1/2 cup milk
1/3 cup apple butter
1/4 cup water
1 egg
4 teaspoons margarine or butter
3 cups bread flour
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon apple pie spice or ground allspice
1 teaspoon active dry yeast or bread machine yeast

Select the loaf size. Add the ingredients to the machine according to the manufacturer's directions. Select the basic white bread cycle.

NOTES : For the 1-1/2 pound loaf, the bread machine pan must have a capacity of 10 cups or more.

In a pinch, you can blend apple pie spice from spices you probably have on hand. For 1 teaspoon apple pie spice, combine 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon, 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg, 1/8 teaspoon ground allspice, and a dash ground cloves or ginger.
