Spicy Herb Breadsticks
3 cups
Bisquick baking mix
2/3 cup hot water 120-130 degrees
1 egg white slightly beaten
1 tablespoon grated Romano and Parmesan
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
Heat oven to 350F. Grease 2 cookie sheets.
Mix baking mix and water, beat vigorously 20 strokes.
Turn dough onto surface generously dusted with baking mix;
gently roll in baking mix to coat. Knead about 60 times or until smooth and no
longer sticky.
Pat dough into rectangle, 18x12 inches. Brush with egg white.
Mix remaining ingredients; sprinkle evenly over dough. Gently
press herb mixture into dough.
Cut dough crosswise into 18 strips, 12x1 inch. Twist each
strip 3 or 4 times. Place 1/2 inch apart on cookie sheets; press ends on sheet
to fasten securely.
Bake about 10 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm;
