Czechoslovakian Cheesecake (Tvarahovy Kolác Treny)
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup granulated sugar
3 eggs, separated
1/2 cup cottage cheese, rubbed through a strainer
1 cup ground nuts
1/3 to 1/2 cup bread crumbs
Jam
Grated chocolate
Nuts
Cream butter with sugar and egg yolks thoroughly. Blend in cheese and nuts. Fold
in stiffly beaten egg whites and bread crumbs. Butter a springform pan and
sprinkle with bread crumbs. Spread the cake mixture over the crumbs. Bake in a
preheated 320 degree F oven for about 30 minutes.
When cake is cool, spread with jam and sprinkle with grated chocolate and nuts. |
