In a large mixing bowl, cream the brown sugar, white sugar and butter until
smooth. Add eggs and vanilla and blend well. Fold in flour, baking powder,
baking soda, salt and coffee. Fold in chocolate (nuts, cherries).
Wrap dough and chill for an hour.
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. Place large balls of dough
(about 2 inches in diameter) on baking sheet (about 3 inches apart). Bake until
just set (13 to 17 minutes). Cool well before removing from sheet.
