Chinese broccoli can be used in
stir-fried and other cooked dishes. It is a versatile food, and is quick and
easy to prepare. Prepare the vegetable as you would broccoli.
It has a slightly peppery flavor, and a pungent, lightly bitter aftertaste.

Sautéed Chinese Broccoli
1 T. olive oil
1 garlic clove, minced
2 packed C. 2-inch pieces Chinese broccoli
1 T. soy sauce
1/4 t. black pepper
Heat oil in medium non-stick skillet. Add garlic and sauté 1 minute. Rinse
broccoli under cold water. Do not pat dry. Add broccoli to skillet and sauté
over high heat 5 minutes, stirring until limp.
Add soy sauce. Reduce heat to low and cook 5 minutes longer or until tender.
Season with pepper.
