For best results when you bake your
brownies, use the size pan specified in the recipe. To check the width of a pan,
measure across the top from inside edge to inside edge.

German Chocolate Brownies Recipe
Brownie ingredients:
2 eggs
1 C. sugar
1/2 C. margarine (melted)
1 t. vanilla
3/4 C. flour
3/4 C. chopped walnuts or pecans
4 oz. German’s sweet chocolate (melted)
Frosting ingredients:
1 C. evaporated milk
1 C. sugar
3 egg yolks, slightly beaten
1/2 C. margarine
1 t. vanilla
1/3 C. coconut
1 C. chopped walnuts or pecans
In a large bowl, cream eggs and sugar. Combine with next 5 ingredients. Pour
batter into a greased 9-inch square pan. Bake for 40 minutes at 350° F. Cool and
frost.
To make the frosting, combine the first 5 ingredients and cook over medium heat,
stirring until thick. Add coconut and chopped nuts. Cool before frosting the
brownies.
Makes 12 servings.
