This is the first cookie I
learned to bake. I think it might be just the most popular cookie ever. Everyone
has their own variation of chocolate chip cookies. Made according to the recipe
this makes a good size cookie that is still soft on the inside.
Chocolate Chip Cookies
Add to a mixing bowl and beat until fluffy.
1/2 C. butter
1/2 C. crisco
3/4 C. white sugar
3/4 C. brown sugar
Add:
2 eggs
Mix well and add:
2 1/2 C. flour
1 t. baking soda
1 t. salt
1 1/2 t. vanilla
2 T. water
Blend well.
Add:
1 1/2 C. chocolate chips
1 C. pecans
Stir in. Cookies are now ready to bake. Drop by rounded Tablespoons onto an
ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake at 350°F. for 10-11 minutes. Let stand for 2 minutes after baking and
remove to wire racks to cool.
