Date-Nut Bars 1 cup flour
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup butter 1 cup sugar
2 eggs, well beaten
1 cup chopped nuts
1 cup dates, chopped fine
Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Mix other ingredients in order
given. Line 13 x 9 inch pan with waxed paper and spread batter in it. Bake at
350° F. degrees for 25-30 minutes.
Remove cake from pan. Peel waxed paper & let cool. Cut into bars and roll in
powdered sugar. |
