Oatmeal Cookies

1 stick margarine or butter, unsalted

2 teaspoon vanilla

3 tablespoons plus 1 teaspoon flour

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1 cup sugar

1 cup oatmeal

1 egg

Melt butter. Add egg to sugar, then add butter, flour, oatmeal, baking soda and vanilla.

Drop by heaping teaspoon onto cookie sheet.

Bake on ungreased cookie sheet for 9 1/2 minutes at 350 degrees. Time will vary according to size.

Start checking at 8 1/2 to 9 minutes. Leave on cookie sheet at least 2 to 3 minutes.
