Toffee Chip Scones
1 C. flour
1/2 t. salt
2 t. baking powder
2 T. sugar
1/4 C. butter, cut into small pieces
1/8 to 1/2 C. milk
1/2 C. chocolate-covered toffee chips
In bowl, stir together flour, salt, baking powder and sugar. Cut butter into
flour mixture until crumbly. Stir in enough milk to moisten dough. Work in
Pat dough out on floured board to 1-inch thickness. Cut into 6 circles using 2
1/2-inch cutters. Place on parchment paper-lined baking sheet.
Bake at 350° F. 15 to 20 minutes or until baked through and golden brown.
Makes 6 scones.
