Beef and Noodles Au Gratin
12 oz lean
ground beef sirloin
1 large onion, chopped
1 1/2 cups canned crushed tomatoes
3 oz uncooked broad noodles,
cooked according to package directions
1 tsp oregano leaves
1/4 tsp each salt and pepper
1/2 cup shredded low fat cheddar cheese
Preheat oven to 350.
In a 3 qt saucepan, cook beef, onion, and garlic over medium
heat, stirring with wooden spoon to break up meat, until cooked through, 8-10
min. Remove from heat.
Stir in tomatoes, noodles, oregano, salt and pepper.
Spoon into a 1 1/2 qt casserole; sprinkle with cheese.
Bake covered until heated through and cheese is melted, 15-20
