Blackberry Cobbler

1 cup self raising flour

1 cup sugar

1 cup milk

1 stick margarine or butter

1 quart blackberries (or any combination of berries you like that equals 1 quart)

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Melt the margarine/butter and place in a 2 quart baking dish.

2. Mix flour, sugar and milk and beat until well mixed. Pour over the melted butter. Do NOT stir!

3. Pour the berries over this but do NOT stir!

4. Bake until crust rises to the top and browns. Serve warm with some pouring cream over the top or ice cream on the side.

Metric/Imperial Measurements (for tsp. or tbsp. use discretion)
225 grams / 8 ounce self raising flour
200 grams / 7 ounces sugar
225 grams / 8 ounce margarine/butter
225 grams / 8 ounces milk
910 grams / 32 ounces blackberries (this is an estimate - I'm not sure just how much a quart would be - typically I just put enough on top till it looks good - not scientific but it works over here in the UK!)
