Italian Grilled Cheese Sandwiches
4 (1-inch-thick) slices Italian bread
4 slices mozzarella cheese
3 large eggs
1/2 C. milk
3/4 t. Italian seasoning
1/2 t. garlic salt
2/3 C. Italian-seasoned bread crumbs
Cut a 3-inch pocket into each slice of bread.
Place a slice of mozzarella in each pocket.
In a bowl, beat the eggs, milk, Italian seasoning and garlic salt until blended.
Soak bread in egg mixture for 2 minutes on each side.
In a shallow pan, coat each slice of bread in the bread crumbs.
Grill sandwiches on a greased hot griddle until golden brown on both sides and
cheese is melted.
Makes 4 servings.
