When buying ground beef at your
market, look for cold tightly wrapped packages. Check the "sell by"
date.
Make sure that you cook all ground beef products until the juices are
clear and no longer pink on the inside. This will thoroughly destroy any
potentially harmful bacteria.
Make sure that after handling raw ground beef products that you wash
your hands in hot, soapy water.
Use a new plate when you take your meat off the grill, not the one you
used to get it there.

Blue Cheese Burgers
1/4 lb. blue cheese crumbled
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
1/2 C. fresh minced chives
1/8 t. Tabasco sauce
1 t. Worcestershire sauce
1/2 t. dry mustard
salt and freshly cracked black pepper
Combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl. Refrigerate for 2 hours.
Preheat your grill to high heat.
Shape into 6 patties. Cook about 11 - 13 minutes or desired doneness.
Serve on hamburger buns.
