Berry Sorbetto

Strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, blackberries, or a combination of berries (enough to make 2 C. fruit puree)

1/2 C. water, if pureeing berries in a blender or food processor

1 T. lemon juice

1 C. simple sugar syrup

1 T. Chambord liqueur or vodka

To puree berries in a blender or food processor, add 1/2 cup water to help make a smooth mixture. If raspberries or blackberries are blended, strain through a sieve to remove seeds. If using a juicer, water and straining are not necessary.

Measure 2 cups puree. To the berry puree, add the sugar syrup, lemon juice and liquor; chill. Pour into ice cream maker and follow manufacturer's directions.

Makes 1 quart.
