Blackberry Sorbet
3 1/2 - 4 cups blackberries, fresh or frozen
2/3 cup water
6 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons blackberry liqueur
In a medium saucepan, combine blackberries, water and sugar and bring to a boil.
Reduce heat and let mixture simmer for 2-3 minutes; the sugar must be completely
dissolved.
Put the blackberry mixture through a fine sieve, pushing with a spoon to strain
out the seeds. Stir in the blackberry liqueur and chill thoroughly.
Put the blackberry mixture in an ice cream maker and freeze according to
manufacturer's directions. Garnish with whole berries.
