Victorian Lemon Ice
Juice 4 lemons and an orange
Heat a mixture of 4 cups of water and 1 and one half cups of
sugar in a saucepan. Boil for 10 minutes.
Put sugar water mixture into a bowl. Strain juice over it and
stir. Let cool.
Place into a plastic lidded container. Keep in freezer for
several hours.
Use a large spoon to scrape shavings off the top of the lemon
ice and shape into scoop-size servings into your fanciest glass dessert dishes.
