Tomato Types

Italian Plum: are the essential cooking tomatoes. These small tomatoes are full of flavor and low on moisture making them the perfect tomatoes for sauces or drying.

Beefsteak: One of America's favorite tomatoes, these are big, meaty and juicy. Great in salads and sand- wiches.

Cherry: Wonderful as a garnish, filled with a delicious filling or as a hot vegetable, these tomatoes are wonderful all year long.

Grape: New in the last couple of years these tiny tomatoes are super sweet and some people say you can eat them like candy.
 

 

Goulash

2 lbs. ground beef

1 C. chopped onion

2 t. minced garlic

1 t. basil

1/2 t. oregano

1 green pepper chopped

28 oz. crushed tomatoes

16 oz. tomato sauce

2 C. water

2 C. elbow macaroni

salt and pepper

Brown ground beef in a skillet, add onions, garlic and green pepper. Cook over medium low heat for 5 minutes. Add crushed tomatoes, sauce and water. Simmer 1/2 hour. Add macaroni, salt and pepper. Cook another 20-25 minutes. Serve.
