Pork Chops and Scalloped Potatoes
6 pork chops
1 tablespoon of oil
5 cups of sliced peeled raw potatoes
6 (1 oz.) slices American cheese
1 (10 1/2 oz.) can cream of celery soup
1 1/4 cup of milk
1 teaspoon of salt
1/4 teaspoon of pepper
1/2 cup of chopped onion
Brown chops on 1 side in hot oil.
Place 1/2 of potatoes in a greased 9 x 13 inch baking pan. Top potatoes with
cheese slices, add remaining potatoes.
Place pork chops brown side up on potatoes. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Saute the onions in drippings until tender but not brown, add soup and milk.
Heat and pour over pork chops.
Cover with foil and bake at 350ºF. for 1 hour.
Remove cover and bake an additional 30 minutes uncovered.
Makes 6 servings.
