Animal Rolls

2 egg yolks, lightly beaten

refrigerated dinner roll dough, such as Pillsbury's

assorted food colorings

Preheat oven to 375° F.

Lightly beat egg yolks with 2 tsp. cold water for egg wash, reserve. Line jellyroll pan with parchment paper.

Follow directions for shaping animals, brush with egg wash, paint with food colorings.

Bake animals until golden, 11 to 15 minutes. Cool on rack.

Teddy Bear:
Use 2 rolls. Place 1 roll on jellyroll pan for body.

For head, using kitchen scissors cut second roll into 1 1/2 inch circle. Place on jellyroll pan next to body.

Cup scraps of roll into 5 equally sized pieces. Roll 4 pieces into balls. Arrange around body for paws.

Cut remaining piece into thirds to form nose and 2 ears. Place on head.

Brush pieces with water and press to attach where pieces meet.

Pig:
Use 2 rolls. Place 1 roll on jellyroll pan.

From 2nd roll cut 2 triangles 1---1/2 inch high, 1 inch base for ears.

For snout cut 1 inch circle.

Place pieces around on pig head, brushing with water and pressing to attach where pieces meet.

Use can use your creativeness to make other kinds of animals too.
