Crock-pot Chicken with Gravy

1 whole chicken, (or 2 Cornish hens, or turkey breast)
1 envelope golden onion soup mix*
1 can cream of chicken soup
1/2 cup water
Pepper to taste
*Can use 1 envelope regular onion soup mix

Clean chicken, (or Cornish game hens or turkey breast pieces) and place in slow cooker.

In a bowl, mix remaining ingredients with a whisk until well blended.

Pour mixture over chicken; cover and cook on low for 5 to 8 hours.

Serve with rice or mashed potatoes.
