"Break into a Sweat" Chili
1 1/2 lbs. 85% ground beef
1 qt. stewed tomatoes
1 (32 oz.) can chili style beans (in sauce)
1 pkg. hot chili seasoning
1/8 c. pickled jalapeno slices
2 tbsp. jalapeno juice
1 tbsp. chili powder
1 tsp. ground black pepper
1/2 tsp. crushed red pepper
Several dashes of Tabasco sauce
Brown ground beef with ground black pepper and drain thoroughly. Chop onion;
mince jalapenos into fairly small pieces. Chop stewed tomatoes, leaving fairly
large chunks. Add beans, onions, browned and drained ground beef, tomatoes (with
juice), jalapenos, jalapeno juice, chili seasoning, chili powder, crushed red
pepper, and Tabasco sauce into 4 quart crock pot. Cook on high for 5-7 hours;
low for 9-11 hours. Sprinkle grated Monterey Jack or Cheddar cheese over bowls
of chili for an extra treat. Makes 7-8 servings.
