2 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. water
1/2 c. light corn syrup
2 egg whites (beaten stiff)
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. chopped nuts
Mix sugar, water, & syrup. Bring to boil slowly. Uncover and boil without
stirring until spins a long thread.
While beating continuously slowly add half of the boiling
mixture to the egg whites.
Boil rest of the syrup mixture to hard ball stage. Finish
adding to egg whites while beating continuously. Add vanilla and nuts.
Drop by spoonfuls on waxed paper.
Yield 1 3/4 pounds
