1-1/2 cups flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
3/4 cup packed light brown sugar
1/2 cup butter, room temperature
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup chopped unsalted mixed nuts
1/2 cup mini red & green M&M's

Heat oven to 350F. Lightly grease two baking sheets. Mix together flour, soda & salt. Beat butter & brown sugar in a separate bowl till creamy. Beat in egg & vanilla. Stir in flour mixture. Fold in nuts & chocolate pieces. Drop by round tbsp spoonful, 2" apart onto greased baking sheet. bake for 10-12 minutes or until lightly browned at edges. Let cool slightly on sheets. Transfer to wire rack. Store in air tight containers.
