Double Crusted Sausage Pizza Squares
2 packages crescent rolls; refrigerated
1 lb. Italian sausage
1 red pepper diced
1 onion diced
cups fresh sliced mushrooms
2-3 cups shredded mozzarella
1 tablespoon water
2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
1-2 tablespoons pizza
seasonings or Italian seasonings
Cook sausage until cooked; drain and set aside. Cook onion and pepper and
mushrooms in drippings from sausage until tender; drain and set aside.
Press 1 package crescent rolls into a greased 9 x 13 pan; going up the sides a
little. Shred the cheese. Spread the sausage onto the bottom crust. Top with the
peppers, onions and mushrooms Sprinkle the cheese on top.
Roll out the 2nd package of crescent rolls to fit on top of cheese. Seal the
edges. In a small bowl beat the egg, water, parmesan and seasonings together.
Brush over the top crust. Cut a few slits in the top crust.
Bake at 400° F. for 20-25 minutes, until golden brown.
